Sega to reveal ‘all-new AAA game’ at Gamescom

Sega has announced its Gamescom 2019 line-up, which will include an unannounced AAA game.

According to an email sent to press on Tuesday, Gamescom attendees “will be treated to a first-hand look at an all-new AAA game that has yet to be revealed to the public”.

Catherine: Full Body, the recently announced Two Point Hospital for consoles, and the Sega Mega Drive Mini retro console will also be on show at the Koch Media stand in the Koelnmesse exhibition centre at Gamescom.

Gamescom 2019 will launch with a new livestreamed event produced by Geoff Keighley and Kimmie H. Kim, executive producers of annual industry show The Game Awards. Titled Gamescom: Opening Night Live, it will air on Monday August 19, ahead of the trade fair running from August 20-24.

Keighley said on Tuesday that over 15 game publishers will premiere new content and make announcements during Opening Night Live. It will include a fresh look at Death Stranding provided by Hideo Kojima, plus the announcement of a new THQ game.

Nintendo and Microsoft have both detailed their plans for Gamescom in recent weeks.
