Sackboy: A Big Adventure visits outer space in a new story trailer for the PS5 launch title
Multiple locations and enemies revealed ahead of November’s release
Sony has released a new story trailer for PlayStation 5 launch title Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
Announced during June’s PS5 software showcase, the game is developed by LittleBigPlanet 3 and LittleBigPlanet Vita studio Sumo Digital.
It will also be released for PS4, with the ability to transfer saves to the PS5 version set to be introduced via a post-launch update.
According to the official blurb, “Sackboy returns in an all-new 3D adventure with a deeply immersive and expressive control scheme.
“Players can go on this epic platforming journey solo-style, or they can team up with friends for collaborative, chaotic multiplayer fun.”
The latest trailer takes Sackboy to various locations including jungles, oceans, snowy mountains, and outer space, and introduces various enemies he’ll come up against.
Sony also released a Sackboy: A Big Adventure developer diary (below) last month in which design director Ned Waterhouse said the game was focused purely on play, eschewing the create and share elements the series has previously also been known for.
Among other features, Waterhouse discussed redesigning the character controls to be more responsive, aided by the game running at 60fps.
