Rocksteady’s co-founders have established a new studio in London
Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker left the Batman Arkham studio in 2022
Rocksteady co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker have reportedly formed a new development studio called Hundred Star Games.
While the studio has yet to be officially announced, Polygon spotted that the industry veterans are listed as directors of the London-based company on business information website Endole.
It also has a listing on the Great Place to Work website which reads: “Hundred Star Games is a video game start-up based in East London. Our ethos is of creating a small team of only 100 industry veterans and emerging talents, who are committed to crafting cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate players worldwide.
“With innovation at our core, we’re dedicated to pushing boundaries, embracing diversity, and fostering a vibrant gaming community. Our empowering company culture is unique to the industry which encourages leadership at all levels, accountability, team support, vulnerability, and connection.”
Hundred Star Games is also currently recruiting through an official website. It has hired several lead developers and director-level former Rocksteady employees in recent months, according to LinkedIn profiles spotted by Polygon.
VGC has contacted Hundred Star Games for comment on this report and to request further information about the studio.
Hill and Walker, who were formerly both employed at Argonaut Games, founded Rocksteady in 2004.
“Now with Suicide Squad in safe hands, and the team here stronger than ever, it’s time to hand over the reins, and for us to start a new adventure together in games,” the pair said when their departure from the studio was announced in 2022.
