Retro specialist ININ releases six titles on Xbox
Irem Collection and Pocky & Rocky Reshrined are among the titles now on Xbox
Retro specialist ININ Games has released six of its previous titles on Xbox today.
ININ, which focuses mainly on publishing retro re-releases and modern games with a retro style, has brought six titles to the Xbox Store, which were previously only available on Switch and PS4.
ININ says more titles will be coming to Xbox in the future, implying that it will continue to work through its back catalogue and bring titles that were previously only released on PS4 and Switch to Microsoft‘s console.
The six titles are as follows:
- Irem Collection Vol 1 – a retro shoot ’em up compilation including three games: Image Fight, Image Fight II and X-Multiply.
- Pocky & Rocky Reshrined – a brand new game in the Pocky & Rocky series of shoot ’em ups from the ’80s and ’90s.
- Panorama Cotton – a 3D rail shooter game first released on the Mega Drive in 1994.
- Cotton 100% – a side-scrolling shoot ’em up originally released in 1994 for the Super Famicom.
- Clockwork Aquario – a new action platformer developed by Westone, the studio behind the Wonder Boy and Monster World games.
- Ultracore – a game originally developed by DICE in 1994 that went unreleased for 25 years.
ININ is best known for such titles as Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World, Cotton Reboot and CrossCode.
It’s also the western publishing partner for such Taito series as Bubble Bobble and Space Invaders.
