Retailers confirm more PS5 and Series X/S launch availability

US and UK retailers have confirmed plans to offer more next-gen consoles for sale at launch.

In the US, GameStop said it will have “a very limited” number of Xbox Series X/S console bundles available to purchase online tonight and in stores for Tuesday’s launch.

And the US retailer’s Black Friday advert confirms it will also have limited PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S stock available in-stores only on November 27.

Walmart said last week that it will have a limited amount of Xbox Series X/S consoles available to buy online on November 10. It will also be taking new PS5 orders online at four specific times on November 12.

And in the UK, retailer Game emailed customers on Monday to say that it will be taking limited PS5 console orders online only on launch day, which is November 19 in Europe.

Launching worldwide on November 10, Xbox Series X is priced at $499/€499/£449 and Xbox Series S costs $300/$300/£249.

The PS5 release date is November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, with the rest of the world getting the console on November 19.

PS5 is priced at $500/€500/£450 for the standard edition and $400/€400/£360 for the Digital Edition, with the only difference between them being the former’s inclusion of a disc drive.
