Resident Evil 5 and 6 dated for Switch

Triple pack including Resident Evil 4 also announced for North America

The Nintendo Switch versions of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be released on October 29, Capcom has announced.

In the US the games will cost $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop, while UK pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Revealed for Switch at Nintendo’s E3 briefing in June, Resident Evil 5 includes online and couch co-op with playable characters Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, while Resident Evil 6 follows various interconnected stories featuring series veterans Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong.

Capcom has also announced the Resident Evil Triple Pack retail bundle for release in North America.

Priced at $59.99 and available from October 29, it’ll include Resident Evil 4 on a cartridge and Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 as digital download codes.

Ryozo Tsujimoto, head of the Capcom’s consumer games development division 2, has told VGC the publisher is “not giving up” on the idea of creating new original game series, despite its recent focus on core franchises like Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Monster Hunter.
