Remnant: From The Ashes and Remnant 2 receive surprise Xbox Game Pass releases
Neither game was promoted as coming to Microsoft’s subscription service
Remnant: From The Ashes and its sequel, Remnant 2, have been made available on Game Pass for console, PC and Cloud.
The games, which are often described as Souls-like shooters, were made available on Microsoft‘s subscription service with no prior announcement.
Developed by Gunfire Games and published by Gearbox, Remnant 2 was released this summer. It received high praise from players and critics and was also a commercial success, dethroning Diablo 4 as July’s top-selling game in the US.
Neither title was mentioned when Microsoft announced planned Game Pass releases for the second half of November, which included Persona 5 Tactica, Dune: Spice Wars and Rollerdome.
Dune: Spice Wars was already available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, however, the console release was added to the service on launch. Persona 5 Tactica was made available across all Game Pass platforms on launch day.
In the first half of November, eight new titles were added to Xbox Game Pass, including the launch day addition of Football Manager 2024 on PC.
Thirsty Suitors, Football Manager 2024 Console, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Dungeons 4, Wild Hearts and Spirittea all came to Xbox, PC and Cloud, while Coral Island came to Xbox and Cloud.
