Red Dead Redemption 2 PC exclusive content and enhancements revealed
Minimum specifications also confirmed as pre-orders go live
Rockstar has further detailed the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, including a range of exclusive content and enhancements, ahead of the game’s release in November.
New story mode content, which has yet to be confirmed for other platforms, includes three bounty hunter missions, two gang hideouts, two treasure maps, four weapons, plus fresh horses and trinkets to collect.
Rockstar said in a blog post: “New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.
“Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also offers HDR support, the ability to run high-end display setups with 4K resolution and beyond, multi-monitor configurations, widescreen configurations, faster frame rates and more.”

The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on November 5 and the game will also be available as a Google Stadia launch title in November.
Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC is currently available to pre-order exclusively via Rockstar’s recently released game launcher.
Rockstar Games Launcher pre-order bonuses include a limited time offer of two free PC titles from the following: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Bully: Scholarship Edition, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, and Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition.
Other bonuses include story items and in-game currency for both the campaign and Red Dead Online.
From October 23 the game will also be available to pre-order at the Epic Games store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop and other digital retailers, with a pre-order bonus of 25 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online. It will launch on Steam in December.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has shipped over 25 million units worldwide since its PS4 and Xbox One release in October 2018, according to publisher Take-Two.
