Red Dead 2 PC update targets issues ahead of Steam release
Crashes and other problems addressed in latest update
Rockstar has released a new Red Dead Redemption 2 title update designed to address performance and stability issues with the PC version of the game.
Players have encountered numerous problems with the PC version of the game since it released on November 5, leading to a series of Red Dead Redemption 2 updates designed to fix the issues and an apology from the studio.
The latest update arrives shortly before the game’s set to be released on Steam on December 5, a month after the PC version launched elsewhere.
“After a series of updates to the game, the Rockstar Games Launcher and the latest NVIDIA drivers, we believe the vast majority of performance issues for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC have now been resolved,” Rockstar said last week.
It also released a “complimentary care package” for Red Dead Redemption 2 PC players following the game’s troubled launch.
