Red Dead 2 ‘complimentary care package’ released following PC issues

Rockstar has released a “complimentary care package” for Red Dead Redemption 2 PC players following the game’s troubled launch earlier this month.

Users have encountered numerous issues with the game since it released on November 5, leading to a series of Red Dead Redemption 2 updates designed to fix the problems and an apology from the studio.

Rockstar believes it’s now overcome most of the problems and has released a care package featuring clothing, health and ammo for Red Dead Online.

“After a series of updates to the game, the Rockstar Games Launcher and the latest NVIDIA drivers, we believe the vast majority of performance issues for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC have now been resolved,” it said.

“That said, we will continue to work to tackle any lingering issues as we move forward and if you are still experiencing issues, please visit Rockstar Support for the latest information and to request assistance.”

Red Dead Online players will receive the Prieto Poncho for free in the Camp Wardrobe or at any clothing store, while the items below are available from your Camp Lock Box or at any Post Office for anyone who’s already played the game or does so “through to the holiday season”.

Rockstar also said PC players will receive “a variant of the brand-new Marino Bandolier, plus a new Off-Hand Holster and additional care package as a gift” when the next major Red Dead Online update arrives for all platforms in December.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available on Steam from December 5.
