PUBG Season 9 is adding the game’s ‘first dynamic map’ featuring a volcano
Paramo launches this month for PC and consoles
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will introduce the game’s “first dynamic map” when Season 9 arrives in late October.
The standout feature of the upcoming map, which hits PC on October 21 and consoles on October 29, is a volcano.
“One new map, thousands of possibilities. PUBG’s first dynamic map, #Paramo, is coming soon,” reads one teaser from the game’s social media channels.
“What secrets lie in the fog-covered highlands of #Paramo?” reads another.
PUBG last introduced a new map in the form of Karakin as part of its Season 6 update in January 2020.
More recently, Season 7 updated the game’s Vikendi map.
Former Sledgehammer and Visceral general manager Glen Schofield has said he wants to deliver a “quad-A” PUBG product with the debut game from his new studio, Striking Distance, which will expand the series beyond battle royale with “an original narrative experience”.
