PUBG season 5 update now available, including Miramar refresh
Latest PC patch also adds new melee weapon and item throwing mechanics
PUBG Corporation has launched PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds season 5 for PC.
Game update 5.1 refreshes the game’s Miramar map, which now includes a racetrack and new objects including ramps, loops, jumps and signboards.
One gold Mirado muscle car will also spawn in the garage in Hacienda del Patron each match, while vending machines have been added in Miramar and Camp Jackal.
New item throwing mechanics give players extra ways to assist teammates and attack enemies, while the latest Survivor Pass, titled Badlands, “rewards players with outfits and weapon skins themed around the harsh desert and its former inhabitants”. You can check out the season 5 patch notes here.
PUBG season 5 will launch for consoles on October 29. PUBG cross platform play for Xbox One and PS4 was recently introduced.
PUBG season 4 released for PC in July and for consoles in August, headlined by an update to the game’s original Erangel map.
PUBG Lite, a free-to-play, low-spec adaptation of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, launched in over 50 new countries across Europe and the Middle East earlier this month.
