PS5’s Ratchet & Clank bundle is on sale in France and coming to the UK
Smyths says stock is expected to arrive today
The previously leaked Ratchet & Clank PS5 console bundle has now been listed on a UK store’s website.
Smyths Toys is selling the bundle – which includes the PS5 console, a DualSense controller and a physical copy of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – for £509.99.
Unsurprisingly, the site doesn’t appear to have any stock available yet for either home delivery or in-store collection, but it does state that the bundle is “expected in stock June 11-18”, meaning it could be available as early as later today.
News of the bundle first emerged on June 2, when a listing for a PS5 console that included Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was added to the product database for French retailer Boulanger.
The package design was then confirmed earlier this week by French news site Station of Play, where its European price was listed as €569.99.
And social media posts (see below) suggest that the bundle is already on sale in France.
The site also claimed that between 10,000 and 12,000 of these bundles would be available in France, with “a nice delivery of standard consoles” expected by the end of June. There’s currently no indication of how much stock the UK will receive.
This is the second time this month that unannounced hardware has been spotted on Boulanger’s system.
Last week the Switch Pro was spotted on Boulanger’s database, with a suggested price of €399.
The supposed listing for Nintendo’s expected new Nintendo Switch hardware model was shared on social media after French publication Centro – which previously leaked Pokémon’s Diamond and Pearl remakes before their official announcement – claimed it had verified a retail listing for a new Switch SKU.
This listing, however, was set to go live on Friday, June 4, which didn’t ultimately happen.
Sony recently confirmed that 3.3 million PS5 consoles were shipped in the three months to March 31, with supply constrained by parts unavailability that could result in PS5 shortages until 2022.
