PS5’s DualSense Edge controller is now available at Amazon and other major retailers
The customisable pad was previously exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation Direct store
PlayStation 5’s DualSense Edge controller is now available to purchase at a wider selection of retailers.
The customisable controller launched globally on January 26 but in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, it was initially only available to purchase through Sony’s PlayStation Direct store.
Customers who would rather buy it elsewhere can now do so at the likes of Amazon US, Walmart, GameStop, Amazon UK and Game.
The DualSense Edge controller has a recommended retail price of $199.99 / £209.99 / €239.99. Replaceable stick modules are also available for $19.99 / £19.99 / €24.99.
At that price, DualSense Edge was never going to appeal to everyone, we wrote in VGC’s review. “But for competitive players, the quality of its build, slick software integration and the huge amount of customisation options means it’s undoubtedly the most premium PS5 controller you can buy.
“For everyone else, it’s far from essential, especially if you don’t play competitive games or desire customisation beyond what the original DualSense is capable of.”

We also noted that battery life was the most disappointing aspect of the new controller, and following its release, a teardown video suggested it has a smaller battery than the standard DualSense.
Sony had previously admitted that the pro controller has a “moderately shorter” operating time than the standard DualSense, which it said was because it had included “more features within the same form factor and ergonomic design” as the original PS5 pad.
