PS5 version of Palworld listed by Tokyo Game Show organiser
Pocketpair has been in talks to bring the game to additional platforms
Palworld could be coming to PS5, according to Tokyo Game Show’s organiser.
As spotted by Gematsu, a PS5 version of the hit survival game is included on a list of titles set to appear at TGS, which was published on Wednesday by Japan’s Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association.
It’s worth noting that reference to a PS5 version of the game could be a mistake and the list may be subject to change.
Released in January via Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview, Palworld attracted 25 million players in its first month, according to developer Pocketpair.
In March, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe said the company was in talks to bring Palworld to additional platforms.
And in a message published on X in June, Palworld‘s community manager seemingly teased plans for a PS5 version of the game.
That same month, Mizobe said Pocketpair was “still discussing” new platforms and had nothing new to announce, although he cast doubt on the chances of bringing the game to Nintendo Switch.
In July, it was announced that Pocketpair had partnered with Sony to expand and develop businesses based on Palworld outside of the video game, including global licensing and merchandising activities.
