Standard PS5 console drops to lowest UK price yet in early Black Friday deals
The PS5 disc model is available standalone for £379 or bundled with a game for £390
UK retailers are currently offering some of the best PlayStation 5 deals to date.
While Sony has cut the price of the standard, disc model PS5 to £389.99 as part of PlayStation’s Black Friday sale, other retailers are offering bigger savings.
Ahead of Black Friday on November 24, the price of the PS5 standard console has been cut to £379 (the cheapest price we’ve seen for the disc model), while it’s being bundled with a game for just £10 more.
EE and Very are offering the console standalone for £379, while Amazon has it for £379.99 and Game has the PS5 Final Fantasy 16 console bundle available for £389.99.
More widely, the console is being bundled with recent high-profile releases like EA Sports FC 24 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for £399.99.
PS5 has been dominating UK console sales over the past year, and in particular the last six months.
According to GfK data published on GamesIndustry.biz, PS5 accounted for 43% of total console sales over the 12 months ended in October 2023.
And in the past six months, PS5 accounted for over half (51%) of all UK console sales.
Sony launched the new PS5 ‘Slim’ console in the US last week, ahead of its global rollout over the coming months.
The console is yet to receive a launch date in the UK, where Sony has regularly been cutting PS5 hardware prices since the summer.
