PS5 DualSense controllers are reportedly making their way into users’ hands
It was recently confirmed that PS5 peripherals would go on sale early this month
PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers have reportedly started making their way into users’ hands, almost a month ahead of the next-gen console’s November launch.
According to one Reddit user, a PlayStation 5 controller appeared for sale in their local area via Facebook this weekend. The seller was asking for $100 for the controller: $30 more than its RRP.
Ahead of the Reddit post, a separate Twitter user (via Push Square) had claimed that their Wallmart store had received DualSense stock ahead of going on sale later this month.
The US release date for PlayStation 5 accessories was recently brought forward to October 30, almost two weeks before the console launches.
Multiple Twitter users reported receiving an email from Sony informing them that accessories like the DualSense controller will now launch at the end of this month.
Target is also listing October 30 as the release date for PS5 accessories including the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset, Media Remote, DualSense Charging Station, and HD Camera.
UK retailer Simply Games recently claimed that Sony had brought forward the PS5 accessories release date to November 12, one week ahead of the console’s European launch.
Amazon UK and Game are also now listing November 12 as the release date for PS5 accessories including the DualSense controller.
The PlayStation 5 release date is November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea. The rest of the world will get the console a week later on November 19.
PS5 is priced at $500/€500/£450 for the standard edition and $400/€400/£360 for the Digital Edition, with the only difference between them being the former’s inclusion of a disc drive.
