It's a 4k signal but don't know if it's upscaling or not... The guns and character models do look a lot sharper tho 🤷🏽 pic.twitter.com/vTnPpQ85Z1

Activision has released a new high resolution texture pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Weighing in at 8.4GB for PlayStation consoles, the pack “supports the most detailed textures for weapons and Operators” in the games.
It’s “recommended only for PS4 Pro and PS5 players with high-resolution displays.”
More Call of Duty:
MW3 best loadout | Best Warzone loadout | MW3 best sniper | MW3 best shotgun | MW3 MCW loadout
Activision has yet to officially detail the texture pack and it’s unclear if it has also been made available for Xbox consoles.
UPDATE: Online reports, including one from a VGC reader, claim the new texture pack is also available for Xbox Series X.

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: Several titles including Warzone, Rocket League and Star Wars: Squadrons have recently added 120fps modes to their Xbox Series X versions, but not the PS5 ones.
As reported by our network partners at Eurogamer, enabling 120fps on PS5 requires a full native port, while Microsoft allows the feature to be added via a backwards compatibility patch.
Activision launched Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 on February 25, introducing a new large-scale Zombies experience called Outbreak, six free-to-acquire weapons, four multiplayer maps and fresh points of interest in Warzone, among other features.
In the battle royale game, the Verdansk map was updated with a shipwreck, missile silos, mysterious Black Ops zombie terminals and a new dock at the dam.
Warzone’s current season will be the last to take place on its original Verdansk map, VGC understands. At the end of Season 2, the battle royale game will finally transition to its second, 1980s-themed iteration, with new locations themed around the Black Ops series.
The change will be marked by an explosive in-game event designed to narratively transition Warzone from the Modern Warfare era, to a setting more in line with the most recent premium series release.
A Black Ops Cold War free trial is currently available until March 4, offering players the chance to sample a selection of Zombies and multiplayer content.
The Zombies content includes a new experience called Outbreak, which “takes place across massive play spaces throughout the Ural Mountains, packed with new enemies, team objectives, player rewards, and intel to discover on foot, in vehicles, or by jump pads”.
The PlayStation exclusive Zombies mode Onslaught is also included in the free trial.
On the multiplayer front, the Apocalypse 24/7 playlist includes Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Hardpoint modes on one of Season 2’s new maps.
Players can also access Team Deathmatch and Domination as separate playable modes, a Nuketown 24/7 playlist, the 40-player Fireteam mode, Gun Game, a 3v3 Face Off playlist and 2v2 Gunfight Blueprints.
Activision recently warned players that Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare and Warzone might now be too large to fit on a 500GB PS4, meaning users may have to delete some unused content in order to successfully download the latest patch for the battle royale game.
