PS5: A limited edition The Last of Us DualSense is being released next month
Pre-orders for the controller start next week

Sony is releasing a special limited edition DualSense controller based on The Last of Us.
The controller will be released on April 10, to celebrate the release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC, and the second season of The Last of Us on HBO, both of which are set for April.
According to Sony, the limited edition controller “features glossy trophy icons printed across the surface that call back to key moments, characters, and events from The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II”.
Pre-orders for the controller will start on March 14 on the PlayStation Direct website (in countries that have one), as well as participating retailers, and will cost $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99.
The PlayStation Direct pre-orders will start at 7am PT in the US, and 10am local time in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
“We were excited by the chance to memorialize The Last of Us franchise in a controller that fans and our own team would love,” a joint statement from Naughty Dog head of studio Neil Druckmann and graphic designer Mehan Mehran read on the PlayStation Blog.
“We wanted to ensure that both installments of The Last of Us are represented, via trophy icons printed in black gloss across the controller body. Among the trophies, three particular images will immediately stand out for TLOU fans: The firefly, moth, and wolf.
“Players will recognize the Fireflies’ iconic spray-painted logo that originated in Part I, while the moth and wolf represent the intertwining lives and duality between Ellie and Abby in Part II.”
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on April 3. It was originally stated that the game would require a PSN account to play, but Sony announced in late January that it was changing this policy going forward.
Instead, PC players no longer need to have a PSN account to play Sony’s first-party games, but having one will unlock in-game extras. In The Last of Us Part II Remastered, logging in with a PSN account gives the player 50 points to activate bonus features, and also unlocks Jordan’s Jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as an outfit for Ellie.
