Pokémon Presents 2025 plans may have leaked thanks to Pokémon Go
An update to Pokémon Go may hint at when we’l next see Pokemon Legends Z-A
An update to a Pokémon game may have accidentally revealed an upcoming Pokémon Presents presentation.
A recent Pokémon Go update includes a string of text that points to a Pokémon Presents 2025 presentation that is likely to take place next month.
A Pokémon Presents presentation has taken place every February for the last four years to mark Pokémon Day, the anniversary of the release of Pocket Monsters Red and Pocket Monsters Green in Japan on February 27, 1996.
Text reading “Pokémon Presents 2025 x GO Tour: Unova Timed Research,” has been added to the game, likely referring to a challenge that will begin in-game following the Pokémon Presents event itself.
The inclusion of the reference to Unova, the region featured in the fifth generation of Pokémon games, may raise the eyebrows of fans due to the fifth generation being next in line to receive the traditional remake treatment. |However, it’s possible this is just a reference to the focus on Unova which is currently ongoing in Pokémon Go.
A Unova-themed Pokémon Trading Card Game set is also due this year.
The next game in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Legends Z-A, was announced during Pokémon Presents last February.
Set for release in 2025, it will be the second Pokémon Legends game following Pokémon Legends Arceus. Pokémon Legends Z-A will see players revisit the Kalos region and Lumoise City.
