Sword and Shield fans uncover likely returning Pokémon for Crown Tundra DLC

Fans have assembled a list of Pokémon likely to return in Sword and Shield’s second DLC expansion, Crown Tundra.

The Pokémon Company confirmed earlier this year that the Switch game’s two expansions would add more than 200 legacy Pokémon, which even players without the DLC would be able to obtain via other means such as trading.

Sword and Shield’s first expansion, Isle of Armor, released this week and added around 100 legacy Pokémon to the game.

As discovered by a Twitter user, the DLC also heavily implies which monsters will be added with the second DLC expansion, Crown Tundra, via a large number of Pokedex entries which have been left blank.

Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Crown Tundra DLC is due out in autumn/fall this year.

The release of the Pokémon Home cloud service earlier this year allowed players to transfer 35 previously unobtainable monsters into Sword and Shield, including Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Mewtwo and Celebi.

This week The Pokémon Company shared several announcements, the most significant of which was New Pokémon Snap, a Nintendo Switch sequel to the classic N64 game.

It also announced Pokémon Café Mix, a free-to-start puzzle game for Switch, iOS and Android, and a second mobile app – Pokémon Smile – designed to help children brush their teeth.

The Pokémon Company will hold a second digital event on Wednesday, June 24, when it will unveil a new “big project”.
