Podcast: BAFTA host Phil Wang on Thank Goodness You’re Here, and how BAFTA stands out from other award shows
Wang returns to host for a second year

BAFTA host and comedian Phil Wang joins VGC: The Video Game podcast for a special episode.
During the discussion, Phil and VGC’s Jordan Middler discuss the role the BAFTA awards play in highlighting smaller games, the ceremony’s importance to the British games industry, and how the show differs from other gaming award shows.
This week, BAFTA confirmed that Wang will return to host the ceremony for a second time.
“I’m so thrilled to be returning as host of this year’s BAFTA Games Awards,” said Wang.
“Last year’s show was such an uplifting celebration of this incredible industry. I’m looking forward to continuing in that spirit, and honouring another year of superb games. I’ve played games all my life, and these awards feel like my opportunity to thank the people who make them.”
The 21st BAFTA Games Awards will be live-streamed across all major social and streaming platforms on Tuesday 8 April from 7pm GMT / 11 am PDT / 2pm EDT.
