PlayStation’s State of Play returns this week with a look at 15+ upcoming games

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced it will stream a new State of Play presentation on Wednesday, January 31.

Kicking off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT, the show will cover over 15 upcoming games.

“The broadcast will be over 40 minutes long, and feature guest appearances from some of the most talented minds in gaming,” said PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst.

“Among many other updates, we’ll feature extended looks at Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin, two great games coming to PS5 this year. And we’ll give you a new look at other titles coming to PS5 and PS VR2 in 2024 and beyond.”

Sony’s announcement confirms earlier claims that the company was planning to hold a new showcase this week.

XboxEra’s Nick Baker had suggested the live stream could take place on January 31, and feature Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill 2 and other games.

Prolific leaker Billbil-Kun claimed last week that we’ll soon see more of Death Stranding 2, and today claimed the same about Sony’s new space IP, Concord.

Baker also claimed that BioShock creator Ken Levine will offer the next look at his original IP, Judas, during the PlayStation event, and that there will new looks at a Sonic title and an Until Dawn remaster.

PlayStation’s last State of Play event was held in October 2023. It featured Spider-Man 2, Foamstars and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, among other titles.
