PlayStation’s newest studio has revealed sci-fi multiplayer FPS Concord
The game is in development for PS5 and PC at Firewalk Studios
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced PvP multiplayer first-person shooter Concord.
The original sci-fi title is in development at Washington-based Firewalk Studios, which was recently acquired by Sony.
The game will be released for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2024. Its debut teaser trailer is viewable below.
“Concord is a bringing together of peoples. It’s the power of games to build connection and inspire social play,” game director Ryan Ellis said in a PlayStation Blog post.
“The Firewalk team is driven by the type of exciting, unexpected moments and shared experiences that multiplayer games create. Every time you log on is the beginning of a new adventure and every match is an opportunity for a new story.
“It’s these ideals that define Concord, its unique universe of vibrant worlds, and its rich cast of colorful characters.
“There’s so much more we can’t wait to share with you and we’re looking forward to fully revealing Concord ahead of launch next year.”
Announcing Firewalk as the 20th PlayStation Studios member last month, SIE CEO Jim Ryan said: “Firewalk Studios is led by a world-class team that is highly experienced and deeply passionate about creating exceptional multiplayer games that foster memorable shared experiences.
“I’m confident the studio’s upcoming project will be a robust addition to PlayStation Studios’ portfolio, and its live service and technology expertise will be instrumental in helping grow PlayStation’s reach.”
