PlayStation State of Play returns tomorrow with ‘new reveals and updates’

Sony has announced that it will hold a State of Play broadcast tomorrow.

In a tweet, the publisher said that the show will contain “new reveals and updates for PS5, PS4 and PSVR2.”

“We’ll have some great updates from our amazing Japanese partners and developers all around the world. Expect about ~20 minutes covering 10 upcoming games,” the company said in a follow-up tweet.

PlayStation recently revealed that PlayStation VR2 will release in “early 2023”. While some titles for the new VR headset have been revealed, such as Resident Evil Village and Horizon: Call of the Mountain, it’s still unclear what else will complete the headset’s launch lineup.

Sony‘s updates from “Japanese partners” likely include news on Final Fantasy 16, the timed-console exclusive next entry in the legendary RPG franchise.

Final Fantasy producer Naoki Yoshida recently said in an interview that he’s aware that the game won’t appeal to everyone.

Sony’s last PlayStation State of Play took place in June and showed off new footage from Final Fantasy 16, Street Fighter 6 and revealed the PC versions of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

A PC version of Returnal has been heavily suggested in recent months.
