Demon’s Souls trailer claims the PS5 remake is coming to PC and ‘other consoles’

UPDATE: Sony removes trailer and claims it was a “mistake”

PlayStation’s remake of Demon’s Souls will be released for PC, according to its latest PS5 trailer.

According to the video, the PS5 launch game won’t be available on “other consoles” for “a limited time,” which suggests it could also be released for PlayStation 4.

UPDATE: PlayStation has since pulled the trailer in question, but you can watch it backed up via Gamespot above.

Sony claimed in a statement issued to Kotaku that the trailer referencing PC and “other consoles” was a mistake. The rep attributed the incorrect information to “human error” and said Demon’s Souls would be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: PlayStation has said the Bluepoint-developed remake would be a “PlayStation exclusive”.

According to the platform holder, the PS5 launch game will “invite players to experience the original brutal challenge, completely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced with a new ‘Fractured Mode.’”

The updated version of the 2009 PlayStation 3 title – which was the precursor to the Dark Souls games – will allow players to choose between two graphics modes: one focused on fidelity, and one focused on frame rate.
