PlayStation Plus users will receive a free Call of Duty: Warzone Combat Pack when the game launches today.

Activision’s Stephanie Glover told the PlayStation Blog the Combat Pack will be a timed exclusive until October 1, 2020.

The contents of the pack have yet to be detailed. “More information to come with launch,” Glover said.

A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play Warzone on PS4, Charlie Intel reports.

However, Xbox One players do require an Xbox Live Gold membership, while PC players need an active Blizzard Battle.net account.

Warzone goes live on March 10 starting at 8am PDT for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare and will be available from 12pm PDT to all other players as a free download.

The free-to-play game will share the same Battle Pass and item shop as Modern Warfare, Activision has confirmed.

More than two hours of Call of Duty: Warzone gameplay has been published to coincide with the publisher lifting its media embargo for the title.

Sony said in early January that PlayStation Plus has some 38.8 million subscribers.

March’s PlayStation Plus games, Shadow of the Colossus and Sonic Forces, are now free for subscribers until April 6.
