PlayStation Plus is adding 8 Yakuza games in 2022
Half will arrive in August, including three for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that eight Yakuza games are headed to PlayStation Plus this year.
First up is Yakuza: Like A Dragon, which will be made available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers as part of August’s just-announced games line-up.
Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will then be released as part of August’s Game Catalog line-up for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members.
Update - Games now live
August’s PlayStation Plus games are now live and available to download on PlayStation consoles.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5 / PS4), Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5 / PS4) and Little Nightmares (PS4) can now be claimed by subscribers.
The three games will be available for subscribers to claim from August 2 until September 6.
Also coming later this year for PlayStation Plus Premium members are Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered and Yakuza 5 Remastered, while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be made available for Extra and Premium members.
The first images of the next Yakuza game seemingly appeared online last week, when MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura posted a video of himself taking a studio tour at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that it’s working on a Yakuza: Like A Dragon sequel and a new IP.
Following an earlier leak, Sony announced on Wednesday that August’s PlayStation Plus games will be Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5/PS4), Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5/PS4) and Little Nightmares (PS4).
The three games will be available for subscribers to claim from August 2 until September 6.
July’s PlayStation Plus games are still available to claim until August 1. They are Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (PS5/PS4), The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4) and Arcadegeddon (PS5/PS4).
