PlayStation launches new capsule fashion collection with Japanese streetwear brand SOPH
Some of the items have already sold out online
PlayStation, Japanese streetwear brand SOPH and its imaginary team FC Real Bristol have teamed up for a new streetwear fashion collection based on football jerseys and training wear.
Inspired by the history of PlayStation and the brand’s association with football, the collection includes retro football shirts from the non-existent team, styled with the PlayStation logo as the main sponsor.
The collection includes 28 pieces, which are available online, and in the brand’s flagship stores.
At the time of writing, the football jerseys are currently sold out online, and are only available in stores that still carry stock.
Pieces start from $180 for the jerseys, with prices for the track suit jackets coming in at around $320, depending on the design.
This collaboration marks PlayStation’s return to streetwear fashion. While previous PlayStation fashion collaborations have been popular, before now the brand had yet to explore high-fashion collaborations.
It’s been reported by several outlets that cover streetwear fashion that PlayStation and Nike are planning another shoe collaboration for 2025.
PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 Low, which is listed for release in 2025, appears to be a rerelease of the 2006 collaboration shoe.
This sneaker, which currently resells for upwards of $8,000 on aftermarket websites like StockX, is the latest in a line of shoe collaborations between Nike and the games company.
