PlayStation is getting ‘even more’ Avengers exclusive content
Crystal Dynamics confirms early access to cosmetics, in addition to Spider-Man character
Crystal Dynamics has confirmed “even more PlayStation advantages” for its upcoming Marvel’s Avengers game.
The developer announced this week that Spider-Man will be added to the Marvel’s Avengers roster in early 2021, “available at no additional cost to owners of the base game, exclusively on PlayStation”.
It’s also making the upcoming beta test available to PS4 players first. Those who pre-order the game on PS4 will be able to access the beta on August 7, followed by all PS4 players on August 14. Players on Xbox One and PC will get beta access a week later.
In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, Crystal Dynamics’ community manager Andy Wong confirmed even more exclusive content for the platform, in the form of cosmetic items.
PlayStation players will have 30-day exclusive access to a Legendary Outfit, Legendary Emote, Epic Takedown, and nameplate for each Super Hero as they are released, Wong confirmed, and this also applies to the game’s six launch heroes.
In addition, for each Super Hero added to the game post-launch, all PS Plus members will receive a free bundle that contains a Rare Outfit, nameplate, and 100.
Finally, a free bundle for Ms. Marvel will be available at launch for PS Plus members.
Publisher Square Enix previously confirmed it had a global marketing deal with PlayStation, and that there would be “surprises for PlayStation players” of Avengers.
Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on September 4 for PlayStation 4 and later on PlayStation 5. Players who purchase the PS4 version will get the PS5 version for free, as well as those who purchase the Xbox One version looking to upgrade to Series X.
