PlayStation has announced a State of Play presentation for Thursday
The event will be focused on indie and third-party releases
Sony has announced a new State of Play presentation, but it likely won’t feature any major first-party games.
The State of Play will take place on Thursday, September 14 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST.
According to Sony, the broadcast will “focus on indie and third-party titles from around the world,” and will “focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles”.
It adds: “From indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone.”
The last major State of Play presentation took place in February and included trailers of Destiny 2: Lightfall, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Tchia, Humanity, Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 6 and Baldur’s Gate 3.
“Here at PlayStation, our vision is to be the best place to play, and publish, great games,” said Shawn Benson, director and head of portfolio for global third party relations for Sony.
“And because there are thousands of developers and publishers all around the world constantly making great games, our team has their work cut out for them. “I hope you can tune in tomorrow to check out a diverse selection of upcoming games.”
