PlayStation announces new live stream, but no PS5 news

PlayStation has announced it will stream its next State of Play episode on Tuesday, September 24 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST.

The 20 minute show will include new game reveals, new content from PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios, and “a host of other updates,” it said. You can watch it live here.

However, the platform holder warned fans not to expect any updates on its PlayStation 5 plans.

One title that may feature in the episode is The Last of Us Part II. The highly anticipated PS4 exclusive is set to be revealed at a press event on September 24, the same day as the stream.

Sony has yet to confirm The Last of Us Part 2’s release date. Naughty Dog completed shooting the cinematics for the game in April.

The platform holder confirmed on Thursday that The Last of Us Part 2 won’t be shown publicly at Madrid Games Week in October, despite a now-deleted blog post claiming it would.
