Playdate’s Catalog has sold 150,000 games, earning developers more than $544,000
Catalog is the handheld’s digital store, where devs can sell their own games
News In Brief
Playdate manufacturer Panic has announced that the handheld’s built-in store, Catalog, has sold more than 150,000 games.
Catalog arrived on the Playdate in March 2023, and allowed developers to sell their own games through the handheld itself.
There are now 181 games on Catalog, with an average game price of $5.36. Panic says more than $544,000 has been paid to developers since Catalog launched.
Of the 70,000 users who have bought a Playdate so far, 38,000 of them have made a purchase on Catalog, with the rest only playing the 24 games included with the handheld as its first season of content.
