Planet Coaster is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X

Frontier will release Planet Coaster: Console Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X during the 2020 holiday season, it’s announced.

The console port will be released simultaneously for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and “enhanced” for next-gen consoles, according to Frontier.

The console version was previously announced for current-gen consoles with a “summer 2020” release window.

Originally released for PC in 2016, Planet Coaster is the Rollercoaster Tycoon developer’s latest construction and management sim.

The game features three different modes; Career, which has players assume the role of a theme park manager; Sandbox, which lets players construct their own park on a plot of land; and Challenge, which is similar to Sandbox but with added difficulty.
