Pikmin 3 is reportedly coming to Switch

A Nintendo Switch version of Pikmin 3 is reportedly nearing completion.

While a remaster of the 2013 Wii U game hasn’t been announced by Nintendo, GamesBeat claims a Deluxe version of Pikmin 3 will join a growing list of last-gen titles given a new lease of life on Switch.

Wii U titles already ported to Switch include Mario Kart 8, New Super Mario Bros. U, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors.

As VGC revealed in March, Nintendo also plans to celebrate Super Mario Bros.’ 35th anniversary this year with several major releases, new and old, including a Deluxe Switch version of 2013’s Wii U game Super Mario 3D World.

It intends to re-release most of Super Mario’s 35-year back catalogue this year, remastered for Switch, including 1996’s Super Mario 64, 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine, and 2007’s Super Mario Galaxy. Like Pikmin 3, these Mario Masters should be ready for release soon, according GamesBeat.

Nintendo announced Paper Mario: The Origami King for Switch on Thursday, with the game set for release on July 17.

Earlier this month, the company warned of potential software and service delays due to disruption caused by the coronavirus.
