Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis launches globally next week
Sega’s free-to-play online action RPG dated for Xbox One and PC
Sega has announced a global Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis release date of June 9, 2021.
Next week’s Xbox One and PC release follows a closed beta test held in May.
Set a thousand years after the events of PSO2 and the battle of Oracle, the free-to-play online action RPG includes fully localised text and character voices in English and will remain content current with the Japanese servers.
“One of the goals for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is to create the ultimate PSO2 in which the time-tested elements are kept intact, while the game design, gameplay and graphics engine will be completely redesigned and reborn in all aspects,” according to Sega.

Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis will also support Xbox Series X in the future.
