Perfect Dark will include online multiplayer
Nintendo has announced four new titles coming to Nintendo Switch Online.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Four Swords, Metroid Zero Mission, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Perfect Dark will be added to the service later today.
Perfect Dark will feature four-player online multiplayer.
NES, SNES, Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games are available as part of the standard Switch Online subscription, which costs £3.49/€3.99/$3.99 for a one-month membership, £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 for a three-month membership, and £17.99/€19.99/$19.99 for a 12-month membership.
The Expansion Pack add-on, which is also needed to play Game Boy Advance titles, Nintendo 64 titles, and classic Sega games, costs $49.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 per year. The expansion pack is required for all titles in this drop.
Both Turok and Perfect Dark will be included in the Nintendo 64: Mature app, which is required to play games that were originally rated M for Mature.
Perfect Dark was first released in 2000 on the Nintendo 64. Developed by Rare, the game follows secret agent Joanna Dark. The game was a spiritual successor to Rare’s seminal Goldeneye. Perfect Dark received critical acclaim and a BAFTA. An Xbox 360 Perfect Dark game, Perfect Dark Zero, was a launch title for Microsoft‘s console.
A reboot of the series was announced by Microsoft in 2020. The first gameplay trailer for the new game, titled Perfect Dark, was revealed earlier this month at Xbox’s Summer Showcase.
