October’s PlayStation Plus Essential games have been announced
Including Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2 and Superhot
Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed the first of October 2022’s PlayStation Plus games.
Next month’s PlayStation Plus Essential titles will be Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS5/PS4), Injustice 2 (PS4) and Superhot (PS4).
The three games will be available to claim from October 4 until October 31.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the new name for the base PS Plus subscription service, where players get access to a few ‘free’ games every month.
Players can continue to play these games even after they’re no longer available to claim at the end of the monthly period, as long as they continue to subscribe to PlayStation Plus Essential (or a higher tier).
Once their subscription ends, they’ll no longer be able to play these games until they re-subscribe.
September’s PlayStation Plus Essential games are still available to claim until October 3. They are Need for Speed Heat (PS4), Granblue Fantasy: Versus (PS4) and Toem (PS5).
Sony said today that the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog lineup for October will be announced later this month.
September’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog offerings, which are only available to Extra and Premium tier members, included Deathloop, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Watch Dogs 2.
Last month’s additions to the PlayStation Plus Classics library, which is only available to Premium subscribers, included Syphon Filter 2, The Sly Collection and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
