Now the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remaster has been listed by Amazon
Unannounced title listed for November release
A remaster of 2010’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has been listed by Amazon.
The remastered version of the Criterion racer was first outed in a VentureBeat report in June. Now Amazon UK has briefly listed the unannounced title (archived by Resetera) for release on multiple consoles – including Switch – on November 13.
Hot Pursuit is set in the fictional county of Seacrest, which is based on the American states of California, Oregon and Washington.
The game was the first Need for Speed to feature Autolog, the social interaction system that connects friends for head-to-head races and compares player stats.
EA announced in February that it had handed Need for Speed development duties back to Criterion Games as it planned to restructure Ghost Games, which developed the last four entries in the racing series.
And during June’s EA Play event, the publisher offered the first look at some of its in-development projects for next-gen consoles including Need for Speed, which it said will offer “a seamless immersion which gets you into the race in a matter of seconds”.
The publisher also announced plans to bring seven games to Nintendo Switch in the next 12 months.
Following the recent release of Burnout Paradise Remastered for Switch, EA confirmed plans to release Apex Legends, FIFA 21 and Lost In Random for Nintendo‘s console.
The other titles coming to the platform are reportedly Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and an EA Originals game from Velan Studios.
