Nintendo will hold an Indie World live stream on Tuesday
The presentation will feature 20 minutes of info on indie games coming to Switch
Nintendo has announced a new live stream focused on indie game news.
The company’s latest Indie World showcase will take place on Tuesday, November 14 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT.
The presentation will be viewable on Nintendo’s YouTube channel, and via the video embedded at the top of this page.
According to Nintendo, the new presentation will feature “roughly 20 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch“.
The last Indie World presentation was back in April 19, and included news and announcements of such games as Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Blasphemous 2, Shadows Over Loathing, Teslagrad 2 and Rift of the NecroDancer.
Indie World presentations are different from the main Nintendo Direct presentations, which tend to focus on larger first-party and third-party games.
The last Nintendo Direct, which was broadcast on September 14, included such announcements as Mario vs Donkey Kong, Super Mario RPG, Another Code: Recollection, F-Zero 99 and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa declined to comment on plans for the company’s next console last week, as it announced Switch has now cleared 132.46 million lifetime sales.
This means Switch has just over 21 million units to go if it’s to become Nintendo’s best-selling hardware ever, beating Nintendo DS‘s 154m. Outside of Nintendo’s consoles, only PlayStation 2 (155m) has outsold Nintendo Switch.
During the three months until September 30, Nintendo reported operating profit of 94.5 billion yen and revenue of 334.9 billion yen, which were both up on analysts’ expectations, according to Bloomberg.
