Nintendo will hold an Indie World live stream on April 14
It will feature 20 minutes of information on indie games coming to Switch
Nintendo has announced a new live stream focused on independent game news.
The latest Indie World showcase will take place on Wednesday, April 14 at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm UK/6pm CET and feature approximately 20 minutes of information on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch.
The stream will be viewable on Nintendo‘s YouTube channel and via the video embed at the top of this page.
Nintendo’s last Indie World showcase aired in December 2020. It revealed a host of new games coming to Switch including the now released Among Us and Super Meat Boy Forever.
Other titles announced for Switch at the event and scheduled for release on the console this year include Spelunky 1 and 2, Very Very Valet, Fisti-Fluffs, Happy Game and Alba: A Wildlife Adventure.
Nintendo also announced today that it will launch a blue version of the Switch Lite console in May.
The blue Switch Lite will be available from May 7 in Europe, and from May 21 in North America, with the latter launch coinciding with the release date of the Switch port of cult 3DS game Miitopia.
Nintendo’s president recently provided an update on Switch hardware production, stating that the company has been able to secure enough semiconductors for “immediate” production.
However, speaking to Nikkei (paywall), Shuntaro Furukawa warned that Switch could still experience hardware shortages this year due to significant demand.
