Nintendo Switch Online is adding 5 new games including Donkey Kong Country 3
The Ignition Factor, Super Valis IV, Tuff E Nuff and Nightshade also joining this month
Nintendo Switch Online is adding five new titles this month, including Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble.
It will join the subscription service on December 18 alongside The Ignition Factor (SNES), Super Valis IV (SNES), Tuff E Nuff (SNES) and Nightshade (NES).
The update means all three games in Rare’s Donkey Kong Country SNES trilogy will be available via Switch Online, with the original having been added to the service in July and its sequel joining in September.
Nintendo Switch Online launched in September 2018 and is required to play most Switch games online (Fortnite is a notable exception).
Members can also access a growing library of classic SNES and NES games, back up save data online, and receive special offers including free access to Tetris 99.
Nintendo Switch Online costs £3.49/€3.99/$3.99 for a one-month membership, £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 for a three-month membership, and £17.99/€19.99/$19.99 for a 12-month membership.
The service had over 15 million paying members as of January 2020, according to the platform holder.
Nintendo will host a new live stream focused on independent game news for Switch later today. The latest Indie World Showcase will begin at 9am PT/12pm ET/5pm UK/6pm CET and feature approximately 15 minutes of information on games coming to Switch.
