Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 bundle is now £279.99
Platform holder says offer will be available “while stocks last”
Nintendo is offering a Switch bundle featuring the flagship console with improved battery life and a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe download code for £279.99.
The platform holder says the bundle is available in limited quantities at selected retailers across the UK.
According to the “holiday console offers” section of Nintendo’s website, the package was previously sold for £329.98. It will be available for £279.99 “while stocks last.”
It’s one of the strongest offers we’ve seen for the system. In comparison, the console could be purchased with Pokémon Sword for £279 over the Black Friday period.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Switch’s best-selling game with over 19 million copies shifted to date.
In the US, Walmart is the exclusive stockist of a new Nintendo Switch hardware bundle beginning today.
The $299 Switch bundle comes with Mario Red Joy-Cons, $20 eShop credit and a special edition carry case.
On Monday a group of analysts suggested Nintendo Switch may have a longer than expected life cycle during which it surpasses Wii’s sales total of 102.63 million units.
Nintendo launched the portable only Switch Lite console in September, following the release of the updated flagship Switch console featuring extended battery life in August. There have also been persistent rumours that Nintendo will launch an upgraded Switch console mid-cycle.
The platform holder recently said it hopes to continue selling the Switch family of consoles for as long as possible and that it has no plans for a Switch price cut.
