Nintendo reveals special Monster Hunter Rise Switch hardware
Special console and Pro Controller to release alongside Capcom’s Switch entry

Nintendo has announced a special edition Monster Hunter Rise Switch console, set to release alongside the new game on March 26.
The console features a special edition dock, Joy-Con controllers and Joy-Con grip, and comes with Monster Hunter Rise pre-installed on the console. A Monster Hunter Rise Switch Pro Controller will be sold separately.
The Monster Hunter Rise Switch console has so far been confirmed for release in Japan and Europe.
Announced in September, Monster Hunter Rise will be released exclusively for Switch on March 26, 2021. Capcom will release three Amiibo alongside the game, which will let players unlock special layered armour.
Capcom recently released a Monster Hunter Rise demo on the Nintendo eShop, which will be available to download from until midnight PST on February 1.
Monster Hunter Rise was revealed alongside fellow Switch exclusive Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, “a rich RPG story” scheduled to be released in the summer of 2021. Capcom has said the games will share some unspecified compatibility features.
