Nintendo of America has reset its Switch Online free trial offer
It grants users access to online play, classic games and more
A new seven-day trial for Switch Online is currently being offered by Nintendo of America.
While the promotion isn’t open to current subscribers, it is available to players who have previously redeemed a free trial offer.
Nintendo Switch Online normally costs $3.99 for a one-month membership, $7.99 for a three-month membership, and $19.99 for a 12-month membership.
The free trial will automatically convert to a one-month auto-renewing membership unless automatic renewal is turned off before it ends.
Free trial users will gain access to online play in supported Nintendo Switch titles, be able to use voice chat via the smartphone app, and have the ability to backup save files to the cloud in compatible games.
They’ll also be able to sample Switch Online’s library of over 100 NES, SNES and Game Boy games.
Other classic game libraries (Nintendo 64, Sega Mega Drive / Genesis and Game Boy Advance) are only available with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords, Metroid Zero Mission, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Perfect Dark were added to Switch Online in June. So too were the five Game Boy entries in the Mega Man series.
