Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a brand new RPG from Netmarble which launches on Mobile and PC on May 25, 2022. Set in the world of the critically acclaimed JRPG series, players will meet a whole new cast of characters ready to explore a massive world.
Players will be able to choose from five playable classes upon starting the game, the dashing Swordsman, the elegant Witch, the playful Rogue, the intelligent Engineer, and the unstoppable Destroyer. Combining each class in this new RPG will be crucial to completing some of the game’s toughest tasks, and players will also be able to customize their hero with a huge number of options, making each player truly unique.
The game, which is being developed in Unreal 4 is set in a beautiful and detailed world which was originally designed by animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli for the inception of the Ni no Kuni series. The game is striving to feel like the player is playing through an animated film.
It wouldn’t be a Ni no Kuni game without Familiars, the huge roster of creatures that players can battle alongside. Players will be able to use three Familiars at the same time, while others they collect will be stored at their farm.
Players will be able to create and customise their own farms with a huge number of accessories that can be earned throughout the game. No two players’ farms will be the same, and it’s here that players will be able to visit all the Familiars that they’ve collected on their journey.
Players can also travel across the vast world on their own personal mounts including giant cats, floating gliders and even some unfriendly birds. Those three are only a taste of the wide range of mounts available in the final game.
Those who pre-register for the game on the App Store will receive the Explorer Outfit via the in-game mailbox, while players who pre-register on the game’s official Discord can obtain the Catarumpus Hat and a Special Title, redeemable via coupon codes sent out at a later date.
Whether on PC or mobile, players can play together and experience the full game as part of a group. Players can join a clan or a “Kingdom” which will allow them to work with others to rebuild the fallen Nameless Kingdom.
We’re keen to see if Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds can replicate the magic of the console RPG franchise when it launches on mobile and PC on May 25, 2022.
