Next week’s free Epic Games Store titles have been announced
Mordhau and Second Extinction will replace Dying Light Enhanced Edition and Shapez
The Epic Games Store’s next free titles have been revealed.
Mordhau and Second Extinction will be free to download from Epic’s PC marketplace from April 13-20.
They will replace Dying Light Enhanced Edition and Shapez, which are now free to claim until April 13.
The Epic Games Store gave away 99 free titles last year (up from 89 in 2021). These games had a combined worth of $2,240 and users claimed over 700 million free titles (down from 765 million in 2021), according to Epic.
The company recently suggested players should expect to see further high-profile Epic Games Store exclusives announced in the future.
During its State of Unreal keynote at GDC last month, Epic announced the beta release of Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) alongside the launch of a new creator economy.
UEFN is a PC application for creating and publishing games and experiences directly into Fortnite.
The game’s new creator economy centres around engagement payouts to eligible island publishers, including Epic, based on metrics including popularity and player retention.
Epic said it will put 40% of the net revenue from Fortnite’s Item Shop and related real-money purchases into the engagement pool and make payouts monthly.
