Next week’s free Epic Games Store title will be Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons.
The co-op adventure written and directed by Hazelight founder Josef Fares is set to be offered free of charge on Epic’s marketplace from February 17-24.
The news was announced on Thursday by Epic Games, following an earlier leak by Dealabs user billbil-kun.
The same source previously leaked the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold line-ups on multiple occasions, as well as numerous Epic Games Store promotions.
This week’s free Epic Games Store title is Windbound. The survival-crafting, open-world role-playing game is currently free to download until 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm GMT on February 17.
The Epic Games Store gave away 89 free titles last year (down from 103 in 2020), with a combined worth of $2,120.
According to Epic, users claimed over 765 million free games in 2021. 76 free games broke their peak concurrent user records on PC, with an average of 13 times their all-time records, it claimed.
The Epic Games Store gave away over 15 games in the second half of December alone, with titles offered free every day from December 16-30.
They included Control, Shenmue 3, Neon Abyss, Remnant: From the Ashes, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Loop Hero, Second Extinction, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Vampyr, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Prey and the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy.
Last week, VGC published a new guide to all the PC and console games that are currently free for a limited time.
