Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has leaked
Update: Dying Light Enhanced Edition and Blazing Sails will be free next week
Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has seemingly leaked ahead of an official announcement later today.
According to highly reliable dataminer billbil-kun, Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from April 6-13.
Released in 2016, the title includes the original Dying Light and a range of DLC including its The Following story expansion.
Update
Epic has confirmed that Dying Light Enhanced Edition and pirate PvP game Blazing Sails will be free from April 6-13.
If accurate, Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition will replace Tunche and The Silent Age, which will be free to claim from the Epic Games Store from 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST today.
The store’s latest free titles, Chess Ultra and World of Warships — Starter Pack: Ishizuchi, are still available to download for the next six hours or so at the time of publishing.
The Epic Games Store gave away 99 free titles last year (up from 89 in 2021). These games had a combined worth of $2,240 and users claimed over 700 million free titles (down from 765 million in 2021), according to Epic.
The company recently suggested players should expect to see further high-profile Epic Games Store exclusives announced in the future.
During its State of Unreal keynote at GDC last week, Epic announced the beta release of Unreal Editor for Fortnite alongside the launch of a new creator economy.
