A new Xbox indie games showcase and demo event are coming in July
Players will be able to sample a number of upcoming Xbox games for one week
Microsoft has announced details of its next ID@Xbox Showcase and Summer Game Fest demo event.
Its latest indie games digital showcase will take place on July 11 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
Viewable on IGN and its social media platforms, the event promises to offer “a first look at some new games including trailers, gameplay, reveals and more”.
ID@Xbox’s annual Summer Game Fest demo event is also returning next month.
From July 11-17 players will be able to download and sample a number of upcoming Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One titles.
Last year’s event featured over 30 demos of unreleased indie games accessible via the Xbox dashboard.
Microsoft held the Xbox Games Showcase and Bethesda’s Starfield Direct earlier this month.
The Xbox Games Showcase featured several new title announcements, such as InXile’s Clockwork Revolution and Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight, plus updates on previously revealed games including fresh details, trailers and release windows.
It also included the reveal of new hardware, with Microsoft announcing plans to release a black version of the Xbox Series S with increased storage.
The Starfield event featured plenty of new gameplay as the heads of multiple Bethesda departments showcased the RPG’s character creation, combat, galaxy exploration and more.
Earlier today, Microsoft revealed the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
